Light straw color; very stoney, tart apple nose; when first opened and quite chilled it seemed a bit flabby textured (like many '05s) but as it warmed a bit it grew tighter and more mineral-driven with brisk acidity. Lingering finish. Very good.

Fresh, with a hint of spearmint on the Nose. Not as serious a wine as the ‘08 Fevre 1er Montee de Tonnerre, but still very good. Somewhat loosely structured, which did surprise me a bit.

Same score but "not the same" wine as last note; a touch flabbier, more nutty and white fruited; only fair length.
