Community Tasting Notes (4) Avg Score: 86.7 points

  • Light straw, subdued nose even after one hour with hints of wet stone, botrytis and soft lemon. Palate shows gentile acidity, rounded with mellow fruit, seems dense for a Kabinett. White flowers, soft lemon, hints of honey dew melon and botrytis. Clean finish of hard lemon candy. Simple, Fading. Nice juice, better in its youth. Purchased as direct import, stored accordingly and enjoyed 40-55 with squid, scallions, ginger stir fry. Drink now – 5 years… Na zdrowie

  • Pale straw color, Imagine ripe honey dew melon and bees wax drizzled with wild honey I know melon is an odd characteristic for Riesling, but its in here. Palate is surprisingly full, more spatlese than kabinett, comes over as a bit clunky and disjointed. After two hours this wine came together, melon and wax faded and minerals/slate with soft lemon came to the foreground, hints of molasses, dried apple skins, smoke and a little grip on the end. Wine is still rich and full, only now more harmonious. Good acidity, Drinking off dry with ample upfront fruit drying out to the finish. Served with foie gras at 50-55 it was a good match. Purchased from distributor as direct import and stored accordingly. Drink now – 10 years… Na zdrowie

  • Nice wine, good flavors but a bit too sweet for me.

  • Light, clean, creamy citrus nose; sweet entry, creamy texture, a little spritzy, with a wintergreen note, and lacking acidity; short-medium finish 86+ pts.
