  • Good light wine - had last night with a vegitarian dinner and this evening with Chinese - Genral Tsao's Chicken. Light and lively though the fruit is very muted and slightly overpowered by a young oak aftertaste that give the entire tasting on the pallette an hint of a bitter taste throughout. Not my favorite Pearmund Viognier - the others I have tasting including the ones at the Vinyard tasting room did not have the bitter taste and were noticiably better.

  • Crisp! That's a one word description that fits this wine well. Nice color in the glass and fair legs. The noise is of light citrus and mild oak. On the pallette it starts with a citrus and green apple then the oak blossoms and the taste finally mellows to a not too tart, not too sweet hint of grapefruit as it finishes. Great with food - we had it with our "Sunday" night pizza last Thursday and it held it's own with the pepperoni slices and was delightful, near perfect, with the mushroom slices. The left over portion of the bottle was a great treat after washing the car on Saturday since it was well chilled and I was quite hot. Will buy some more of this local producer's product. Think globally - drink locally is their slogan and this wine makes that an easy mantra to adapt.
