  • Very clean, crisp, citrus and had plentiful bubbles

  • Medium golden; medium to medium-plus intensity aromatics with brioche, toast, slight lemon, slightly earthy; palate is medium bodied, vibrant medium-plus acidity throughout, well integrated, delicate mousse, barely perceptible sweetness but not 100% dry (extra brut), lemon-lime, citrus, nice depth, fades just a tad through the midpalate; medium length finish. This is a nice balance of freshness and age (solera-styled with vintages back to 2003), and it would make a killer house champagne for the price. I do like this extra brut better than their brut version. 91-92

  • This hit me more intellectually than pleasurably. At least on the first night. There was a fruit skin like quality towards the finish that threw me. It also drank very dry, like no dosage. Well, it's close. It's 1g/L. This is Pinot Meunier dominant(80%) with Pinot Noir filling it out. From a solera back to 2003 AND late disgorged. But I wasn't getting a sense of those things either. On night two this has filled out some. There is a bit of a leesy sense among more filled out, richer feeling fruit. That dosage is there on the finish. I liked this quite a bit more on night #2. Disgorged almost a year ago 27/02/18. Interesting wine. I'll leave the other bottle be for a while and see if rest gives it a bit more coherency upon awakening.

  • Disgorged 10.03.2017 (not sure if that date is in Euro or US order), 7 g/L dosage. Very Meuniery, with its earthy golden/black fruit character. I like the earthiness. Good persistence. Nice.

  • Jeez, killer value here. Love the balance and weight on the tongue. Lemon, citrus, red apple and cherry. How's that. I really like this wine.
