This is a really cool mix of old-school peppered-meats and garrigue with streaks of new-world, fruit-forward cherries jubilee throughout. Quite structured but still approachable now. The introduction of air, via Vinturi or over a couple of days, helps to soften the edges.
A bit lower ABV (14.2%) than what other vintages have shown. 80/20 Syrah/Grenache from Marks' family ranch whereby the Syrah was planted using vines from Bone Rock in the James Berry Vineyard.

Every vintage this wine gets more concentrated but also more elegant. Peppery and red fruity with medium body and ripe tannin. Love it. These won’t last long around here. Can’t wait to order more in spring.

Fruit still bright. Don’t think it has too much time left though

Really wonderful. Deep, rich black fruits, leather and wonderful old world garrigue.
