Very understated. Baked plum and tobacco on a medium minus nose, medium acidity and medium plus tannin, medium body and intensity with a medium finish to boot. Seems like it's at the end of its time but still quite worth. Had with a boneless smoked leg of lamb. Fair value for the price

To the nose, mixed fruits and slight smoke. On the palate, a balance of dark fruit (blackberry, black cherry and slight black raspberry) with red fruit (cherry more than raspberry) but this is not a fruit bomb - certainly French style. Minimal earth/forest, no oak now, some pepper (green and black/white). Tannins are in threads and barely providing support. Medium-thin mouthfeel and medium-short length. It is complex - not complex in depth (only ~2-3 layers) but with the different notes interplaying (including the unexpected raspberry note). A well-crafted wine. Drink now.
