  • Nose: A spiced, floral aromatic, red fruits.. some Brett to this.. with some bitter earth and scents of an old wooden box.

Palate: Spiced, dark red fruit.. intense deep earth, medium-minus oak.

A deep and dark ruby that's still translucent. Dry with smooth but strong, chewy tannins. Medium bodied with moderate-minus acidity. Short to decent finish of about 3-4 seconds but lingers with heat, oak and acidity (the fruit is what falls short on the length it seems). Enjoyable even with the heat, oak and acidity. Decanting this for an hour or two will help but I couldn't help myself. The fruit is in the background but still in play.. again, the earth is intense with a subtle spice (quite nice actually). I have to admit though.. even though the finish is decent, this is still very good and enjoyable. I'm not mad at this at all.. well made. Again, give it some time to come to room temperature (around 65°) and decant for an hour or two.
