Medium garnet, Medium intensity. Smoky, mineral with ripe black cherries. The fruit is concentrated. Minty. Big style with medium smooth tannins and high acidity. Dark chocolate.

Lovely nose - spices, earth, dark berries, cherries, floral notes, hints of tar. Very layered and complex already. On the palate in much better balance than both 2015 Pinot Noir and Cuvée Max - the fruit is concentrated, the tannins are very present, but ripe and well integrated. Good acidity with a fine streak of minerality and a slightly bitter, very persistent finish. Very promising, this should be outstanding in a couple of years time. 94-95+

Intense Beautiful nose, though not as enchanting as last tasted. Medium color but dark flavours, yet elegant. High acidity.

German Pinot Masterclass with MW Anne Krebiehl (Hotel og Restaurations Skolen, Valby, Copenhagen): Wow - smells intensely of red currant. Light smokiness. Palate is dominated by red berries. Lightly sweet and salty finish. 93++. WOTN.
