  • Superbe. Évolutif sur 120 minutes.
Complexe autant au nez qu'en bouche.
La description de Derek est très actuelle.

  • Best of Spain Zoom tasting. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow lemon colour almost lightly gold. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of fresh flowers, tangerine, citrus lemon and orange peels, chalky minerals. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium+ body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of tangerine, mandarin oranges, quince, citrus lemon + orange peels, dollops of ripe lemon pulp + melon with oily waxiness, puffs of chalky minerality. Very textural - ?some skin contact? Hints of bitter nuttiness lurking in the background. Long finish.
Very very good quality. Very fragrant on the nose, and complex on the palate. Can improve with a bit more age.
Blend of Grenache Blanc and Viura (Macabeo). No Viognier in this vintage, but still such a floral nose!

  • Clos Mogador Nelin Priorat 2015
    SAQ N° 13391493 69$
    NR

  • Tasted over 2 days.
Unusual nose: initially dominated by hay and smokiness, however, the smokiness gave way to melon and lime. Unlike anything else I have tasted, Interesting rather than offputting.
On the palate, this wine is medium to full-bodied, dry with modest acidity but high in alcohol. Good finish that is very balanced and does not develop a bitter note despite the high alcohol.
Very interesting and stimulating wine, good value for money.

  • Tasting of the Utrecht Wine Society (Utrecht, NL): Tasted blind. Grenache Blanc and Maccabeu. Quite a funky nose, apricot fullness, firm bitters, very floral flavours, good length. I had no idea what to make of this, but Chris nailed it on the head. I was deeply impressed - but more by Chris than by the wine.
