Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • I cant work out if I like this or not, because I just don't quite get it.
There is a small amount of spritz which makes it almost seem like an aged sparkling shiraz.
The tannins are grippy, and its a quite thin on the palate which gives way to a very hollow finish. Not short, or that long, there but hollow.
There is some nice bright fruit, damp earth, rose petals, cherry cola, and a strange lipstick flavour which emerges well after it has slid down your throat as you exhale.
Not too sure what this is trying to be but having been impressed by many of Brendons other wines I have some faith he is working at something that will be unique and impressive in future vintages with this one just part of the experimental journey to get there maybe???
