Bordeaux by Joe (Jason's house): Decanted an hour. Soft, elegant, well balanced. Like so many of these well-aged lesser Bordeaux, it has a grace to it, and does not hit you over the head seeking attention.

Pop and pour. Ruby color with a hint of garnet indicative of some aging. The nose is delicate revealing soft red fruit with some hints of vanilla, strawberry. On the palate, the wine brings forth additional notes of tobacco, some cherry and raspberry, all blended in the overall Merlot fruit. Moderate finish that dissipates with no real punch. Moderate tannins suggesting that there may be some life left, but not much. This is not a powerhouse by any means, but it has enough stuffing to make the wine very worthy of the price. Would have preferred to decant and let it sit for an hour or two.

Nice wine, just medium bodied. Balanced black and blue fruits, still good tannins. 89+ points

NO. Did not come across well. Too young or not very good, cannot tell?
