  • Recommended by a local store. Tried to pop/pour on day one and it didn't show real well (fruit came across a little closed) so I put it away for day two. Quite an improvement on the second day and very enjoyable. Dark blue/black fruit - blackberry, blueberry, and dark currants. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth. Nice flavors of dark berries, a mineral/graphite component, and a subtle floral profile. Fairly long finish. From my experiences with Mt Veeder cabs in the past a lot of them need time and that appears to be the case here. I'm inclined to lay this vintage down for another year or two but quite promising with more time. 100% cab.
