3.5 years since my last bottle and am less impressed this time around. Pale lemon yellow. A pretty nose dominated by herbal notes and wood spices. On the palate the oak is still too dominant, and makes the wine a bit too heavy and buttery. Not a bad Chardonnay but too much oak for my taste and lacks the clarity and explosive aromatics of the very best.

Pnp. Pale yellow in the glass. Would have guessed Burgundy 1er Cru blind, and a very good one actually. Still a pale yellow in the glass. On the nose a touch of sweet oak, white fruit, lime, chalk - almost like a Chablis, fine textured palate, and good length too. Probably the best Chardonnay I have had outside of Burgundy. This should last another 10 years. Could do with even a touch less oak (on the nose and attack) for my taste, but then I am a Chablis drinker and this is really excellent Chardonnay. Great QPR (compared to Burgundy...) - should have bought more than a case. 93-94
PS: Just bought a case of 2017 and 2018 now. Very different growing seasons so exited to try them. Hope they will be as good as the 2016!

Refined, good acid with minimal buttery overtones. Stunning wine.

Disappointed with this price point. Unbalanced fruit and acid .. sometimes even unpleasant depending on what food it is paired. Do NOT over chill!!
