Pretty disappointing given the hype and price point...
I've had other Orin Swift wines (8Yrs, Papillon) that were quite enjoyable and felt like decent/good value. This was just an unstructured, high alcohol, fruit bomb. I really wanted to enjoy this but just couldn't find anything worth highlighting...

Tried this first via Coravin which gave thin hopes for enjoyment, then opened it a couple days after to sample over 3 more days. Not sure if my tastes are changing but this was more or less hot, bitter, and unbalanced regardless of air time. Heavy-handed extraction with overwhelming balsamic and baking chocolate sharpness marred the underlying blackberry fruit struggling just to be noticed. Sensed some mint on the nose and a touch of licorice taste, which was the only redeeming aspect, unless you also enjoy strong notes black olive tapenade in red wine. Recall tasting young and thinking it held promise, sad it did not deliver on that at least for me.

This is a decadent red.....as I expected it would be. It is in a great drink window right now. No reason to let it sit.....drink it. It was opened about one and a half hours become dinner.

A decadent and rich red blend with notes of plum and chocolate. I let it breathe for about an hour and it is very smooth. An excellent wine!
