From 75cl, perfect cork, decanted 1 hour. As noted on 26.07.2021, but with less aromatic interest 18 months later, and a monolithic, thick mid-palate. A good, if hefty drink nonetheless. Fine now, don’t think this will improve. 89P

From 75cl, perfect cork, decanted 1 hour. This is all about the perfectly ripe, juicy, but not over-sweet blackberry fruit, framed with gorgeous aromatic mediterranean herbal aromas and a surprisingly delicate and finely-balanced structure (for a Priorat). Ready to drink, but no hurry. 90(-91)P

This is made up of Cariñena (50%) from vines more than 60 years old, Garnacha (40%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) from vines around 15 years old. It is aged for 14 months in new and semi-new French (90%) and American oak barrels.
Deep red colour. On day 1 this opens a bit rustic and barnyardy, but this blows off with air. Dusty red fruit, cherry cola- really quite primary still after the initial dust clears. Sweet fruit on opening, lovely balance and gentle furry tannin. Lovely drinking, should be good for at least the next few years.

Has to be drunk now. Almost over the edge with quite strong taste of ripe plum. Also the strucuture is a bit unpleasantly sticky.
