Well extracted dark red color with cola, orange zest, and red berries with wet soil notes on the nose. Medium light mouthfeel, very present appropriate acidity, slight tannin component, and a satisfyingly elegant modicum of cherry/strawberry flavors that taper into the finish along with a persisting sliver of vanilla. Those who treasure the more heavily extracted, warmer climate California variations of this varietal may not be disposed toward this more subtle French style expression of Pinot Noir. There are many ways to enjoy Pinot Noir and this well crafted more prolifically made Oregon wine provides an enjoyable alternative.

Based on other reviews I had high expectations for this wine unfortunately, I was disappointed. I found the finish to be short with alcohol taking the lead ahead of the fruit flavors. Even on day two there was no improvement with the balance. I find the La Crema Sonoma Pinot Noir to be far superior and more balanced at $10 less per bottle.

Flowering alpine meadow aroma, Fruity fresh cherry early, transitions to strawberry. Pleasant agreeable med-light tannins, medium acidity, herbal spice maybe parsley. Orange peel late on the palate
