  Thankfully, this was a much better bottle than the 750 ml. I drank on 10/29/08. Some thought it was the WON. Dark yellow color. Complex aromas of toasted almonds, pears and minerals. Nicely extracted fruit in the mouth with very good depth, balance and length. This mature wine went beautifully with difficult dishes ranging from bacalao to tripe in red sauce.

  I waited a year or two longer than I should have to drink this bottle. Yellow in color, this wine was still alive but definitely past its prime. Oxidized fruit aromas on the nose but still had enough acidity and fruit to make it a pleasant drink with pasta in a blush sauce.
