  Surprising lack of Riesling flavour at first, but the wine was just opened and a bit warm... oddly cooling it down brought out the flavour (and the acid of course). Very much a mineral rather than fruit style.
  
  Currently good not great. With time...? I'm not sure it has the necessary intensity to be really great.

  Very nice oilyness and minerality.
  I loved the 2012 and 2013 Steinreich for enourmous elegance, clarity and minerality, but disliked the 2015 which I found empty and trivial.
  
  This I'd say is somewhere in between but clearly closer to the great ones. Obviously very young and should imo stay in the cellar for at least a further year.
  
  The 87 points are today's value, but a NR would be more appropriate at this very early stage, this Streinreich will doubtlessly improve for years to come.
