  • A powerful wine, wild and fascinating. This said, I've never had corton-renardes before. I picked this up at a village coop for a song.

Initially heavy on the truffle and musk, on the nose. The tannins are fine, but present, right from the outset. It took short while to find balance between tannins and acid finish. As it sat open in the bottle it continued to evolve over 4 hours. The nose, every animalistic, also showed blackcurrant and raspberry. The finish was somewhat musky and occasionally cherry.
