A raspy start detracts, then it's ok, and if not for the initial tannic attack on my tongue, it would be more highly rated, and on day two, the rasp is gone but it's not holding up, so that's not an answer either. Arns has been better

Slowly working my way through a case of this. Amazingly fresh for it's age. still another 3-5 years of prime drinking. From the base of Pritchard Hill, this Napa Cab was one of my great discoveries, I think I originally paid $45/b, though I really don't know for certain.
Opened the bottle and let it breath in the the bottle for about 2 hours before drinking it. I don't believe you really need to let it breath that much as it was tasting great right when i first opened it. Still a very dark colored wine for its age. Also positive surprise in how much fruit is still there for its age. The finish isn't very long, but decent and primary reason for not even a higher rating. Very good wine especially for the price.

Slightly past peak, juicy, fruity, some secondary notes, good, but at risk wouldn't wait.
