  • The wine is a medium ruby, certainly less fulsome in color than many Syrahs. Nose mostly strawberries, almost Beaujolais-esque. On the palate the wine tastes of mostly unripe red fruits with a strong olivey finish. Not a ton of meatiness on this one. Good acidity, dusty tannin. Very pleasant even without food. No reason to wait.

  • Enjoyed late Sunday night while reading and listening to music in the wine room. Initial note was French funk but that quickly dissipated. Really enjoyed this wine. Medium bodied. Brick. Pine needles. Forest floor. Some smoke. Very smooth like velvet. 100% Syrah. Great value. Would like to try with food.

  • Well integrated with traditional syrah fruit showing well. Decanted for an hour and drank over 2 hours. Great wine for the value and will likely last another 3-4 years

  • Medium intense purple-red colour with few evolution.
In the nose, aroma's of cedar, milk chocolate, clove, prune, black pepper and liquorice.

A powerful start on the palate with high, but nicely ballanced tannins and acidity.
Here, again the aroma's I had in the nose, cedar, chocolate, prune, black pepper and liquorice, accompanied by leather and caramel.
    Long finish.

  • give it a lengthy decant (90 min); one of the highest qpr wines I've had. wish i had more. paired amazingly with the ribeye, sautéed buttery/thyme mushrooms, and sautéed leafy bitter greens + charred green beans.
deep purple, with ruby at the rim. nose is fragrant, but a bit muddled - black cherry / bramble / vanilla, spiced baked goods oak notes / alcohol heat.
the body and mouth feel is superb. silky and coats the tongue warmly. full, but not heavy.
palate is deep dark rich fruits, balanced against violet floral notes and dusty crushed rock, something savory/fatty in there too.
enough acid to match but not a key element. tannins present, but surprisingly integrated for how young the wine is. reserved oak, doesn't overdo it. good finish, lingers.
