  • Dark yellow. More developed than both the 1998 and 2000 I tasted in the early 2012 and 2013 respectively. It started out with some oxidized aromas, but then put itself together and became tighter. Lovely, clean aromas of lime, apples, fresh bread and chalky minerals. The wine (or bottle) seems to be on its way down, but still has a lot of pleasure to offer.

  • Nice light colour suggests we have avoided premature oxidation here, but…oh no…a musty cardboard nose hints at cork taint. Which is confirmed by the muted flavours. A hint of citrus and smoky minerality, but the finish is short and flat. Gets worse as it warms, sour and unwelcoming. When it comes to extended cellaring, white burgundy is really becoming a bit of a crap shoot.

  • Very nice wine with no sign of premox. It developed nicely with some air and warming. Nice minerality on the nose. Palate balanced. It could use some more fruit, however there is nice acidity on the back end..enjoyable but needs to be drunk up.

  • Medium straw yellow, gold tints. Lightly honeyed nose, initially leesey but as it warmed becoming floral (acacia) with lemon notes. Medium bodied on palate, hawthorn and acacia, some minerality and then tangy citrus emerging on a good length finish. Enjoyable and mature, with relatively low acidity this improved significantly as it warmed up.

  • light yellow, steely dusty nose, great fruit - pears, lemons stones, good balance, some creamy almond notes on the finish just paired wonderful with the white fish (sea bass), no hurry to consume. Yum, even sandra liked it.
