Inky dark purple in the glass. Heady notes of soy, pressed violets, sandalwood and wild herbs mixed in with the black cherry, currant and cassis fruit. With time comes lots of vanilla, tobacco, and worn leather, but green pepper and turned earth as well. Rich napa cab, but fresh, brambly and a bit green as well which is nice for me, may detract for some. Nice spine of acid. Should hold. From the Hoffman vineyard. 900 cases made.
