Enjoyed over two days with food. Definitely showing signs of maturity, but it’s still drinking well. Drink now, unlikely to improve. Great QPR at <$30.

This was not a good bottle. Seemed old and oxidized, light in color like Pinot. Defiantly opposite of the first bottle. I think I’d drink up asap. What a difference.

Agree with guitarguy and sgates. Lots to like about this maturing, Columbia Valley alumnus. I’ve contemplated uncorking this masterwork of Mr. Smith’s for some time, now, and feel confident about my decision to do so on this rainy, California Sunday afternoon in September. A heady wine, persuading both nose and mouth to wordlessly align in the superior enjoyment of a consummate, Merlotic experience. Drink up, while the band is still playing so well.

Fairly simple, with green leaf and red berries in the nose and chocolate, ripe cherry and roasted meat on the palate. Drink now.

There’s a nice berry uplift in the nose with maturing flavors of tar, cola, very ripe berry, cracked pepper and leather. Drink any time.
