Good QPR because there really are no “negatives”. Not over extracted as this price point can be. No complexity either, but some pleasant dark fruits with cautious tannins, but soft finish. Light leather and maybe earth and mint. In the sunshine, this is a refreshing wine. Not one for the dark days of winter, but the coming of summer.

Pretty typical supertuscan profile with Sangiovese and the Bordeaux varietals both recognizable, leaning toward the latter. Red to dark fruits, forward and warm as you’d expect from the vintage but without too much alcohol or extraction, and a polished new leather and graphite type note that clearly shows the Bordeaux influence. M body, M acid, M- tannin. Solid stuff for $14, and good with leftovers of baked pasta with spiced meatballs—I imagine this would be very food flexible. Drink now or within a year or two. 6.0/10

A nice, spicy Sangio nose with cherries, plums, and a bit of tar, earth and cedar on the palate. Medium bodied with smoothing red berry fruit and a bit of chocolate (10% Merlot). The 40% Cab seems to balance the cranberry acidity of the Sangio nicely. drink me now!

Tasty. Black fruit and a hint of mint and cedar on the nose. Great value wine.

Bu en succ.
Pour le prix. c'est pas méchant.
Simple et rustique mais bien fait.
Cerises et mures avec de l'anis.
Un peu court en finale.
