Softer than we first tried it years ago, but still with blackberry nose and flavours along with a bit of savoury meatiness. I think that now is the time to drink it. Good with roast venison with beet, shallot, and asparagus salad.

Drinking really well, this has a lovely soft texture that comes with intense and powerful mouth full of dark fruit, yet does not feel heavy. Some savoury, meaty and light floral notes and pleasant oak spice. Less of the black peppers than I'd expect. 91+

Not an overly big wine, but intensely savoury with smoky bacon and briny black olive notes weaving in and out of the dark currant/berry/floral palate. Seems at once ripe, tart, and saline, depending on the mouthful. A wine of complexity and character, surely one of the finest Syrahs made in Canada. Co-fermented with 3% Viognier. Diam closure.

Extremely dark ruby colour. Very mild red fruit aroma with hints of black pepper and smoke. Juicy full body and dry taste with mild acidity and medium tannins. Pleasant smoky aftertaste. Paired very well with grilled shish kabobs.

Nice balance of Syrah with touches of Viognier - tastes in comparison with the unbroken press without the Viognier, this offering much rounder in its palate and finish.
