  • Stood upright for a day before decanting, which revealed a little sediment. Quite funky nose at first that receded with exposure to air. On the palate: a strawberry and red cherry party with zippy acidity and silky tannins. Had a nice earthiness to it as well. Peaked between hours 2-4 and was still in good shape when the last glass was consumed.

Overall, a very well-balanced and elegant wine that’s drinking very well at the moment. Bought for $50 and am delighted I have two more to enjoy over the next couple of years.

  • Excellent and classic Pinot Noir from an iconic vineyard. Restrained and not much bouquet upon opening. It quickly opened up in the glass after 30 minutes. Vibrant red stone fruit with medium acidity with a pleasing overall balance.

  • Popped and poured. "Where is it?" I thought, looking at a transparent pink liquid in my glass. Sip. "Oh, there it is!" Surprising punchy and full of flavor for such a light bodied wine. Raspberries, cherries, round and full. Loamy earth on the nose.

  • A really good wine - not a particularly long finish but elegant, with good balance of black fruit flavors along with a little bit of "barnyard", enough tannin to keep it anchored but everything really well integrated. A thoroughly enjoyable wine.
