  • Pale, translucent ruby red color. Very ripe and fruit-driven nose with aromas of sweet blackcurrants, juicy blackberries, some brambly raspberry tones and a little bit of sweet plummy fruit. The wine is ripe, juicy and pretty rich on the palate with quite sweet-toned and jammy flavors of raspberry marmalade, blackcurrant jam, some overripe strawberry and a little bit of vanillin character. The wine starts off dry-ish and moderately high in acidity, but quickly turns out to be rather soft and sweet on the palate with very little in the way of structure. The finish is rather sweet-toned, soft and juicy with flavors of raspberry marmalade, strawberry jam, some vanilla and a hint of crème de cassis.

At first the wine seemed to be pretty nice and drinkable (score low 80's), but it quickly turns out to be rather jammy and spoofy plonk in the glass as it breathes. It takes only a minute or two for the acidity to get drowned out by the cloying, jammy fruit. Tastes like boring plonk made in a dull crowdpleaser style, not really worth its price, even at 7,40€.
