I decanted this about two hours before drinking. Really deep crimson colour. There are aromas of truffles and forest floor here, and on the palate textured red berries, smoky bacon and liquorice. The tannins still have some grip but it is drinking well just now.

Opened this wine during the HWZ Virtual Wine tasting session tonight. Theme of the Session: Grenache.
Dark purplish in colour. Fruit is very pronounced with chocolate, minerals and vanilla. A very steak friendly wine. Paired this with homemade Iberico pork, spider steak, carbonara, hashbrown, and salad.

Needs a couple more years in the cellar. It also needs over an hour to open. At the restaurant, the first taste was overpowered with alcohol. After decanting and opening for a while, the flavors began to emerge. The tannins are very chewy.

Big powerful grenache with a ton of red and dark summer fruits and a ton of tannin. Fresh acidity, well rounded and lengthy. The toasted oak aroma shows well. This is definitely one of the best in the casa rojo range and a great priorat, especially given its youthful age.
