20th of 24, pnp, soaked cork but perfect level, fresher and more a point than December's bottle, more energy, super depth to the fruit and fine minerality, plateau, no rush based on this bottle, equally no reason now to hold. A perhaps mean F (17.5).

19th of 24 (plus 6 magna), pnp, cork quarter travelled, perfect level, still attractive with nice weight and complexity, fruit flavours just starting to fade saved to some extent by the vintage so downside from here, but no rush. F (17.5)........played second fiddle to VF Mortet Lavaux 02!

4th of 6 magna, opened 45 minutes, cork partly travelled, perfect level, similar to 2019 bottle, attractive but sense of flavours broadening and some fade beginning, no upside, drink over next few years. F (17.5).

Stern, correct and classic in every sense. The color is still holding on to youthful ruby. The nose is of moderately ripe berries and minerals. Reticent. The mouthfeel is mature and the minerals are again pronounced. A shy wine that is not willing to come out of its shell. I feel like it will not improve but might wait a few years to try again. Not quite intellectual, but certainly falls on that end of the spectrum. Was hoping for a bit more. (88)

(Château Chorey-les-Beaune - Germain Beaune Le Cras Vieilles Vignes) Medium-plus colour. Wide, a little herbal and mineral with a dark core of fruit. In your mouth there’s great fruit though it’s wrapped in plenty of structure - it’s relatively smooth but the tannin still needs a number of years. The depth is super and there is a mineral length. Don’t touch again for at least 5 years.
