Peach and flowers. Elderberries. Something that doesn't agrees with me in the rather short finish. This is not for me. Around 84 today but saving half til another day. Day 3 you get some canned pears. Still not me. More to come. Day 4 and the last glass. Some good flavours in here. But there is something that disturbs me. Some little disturbance that I can't pinpoint and don't know if it is supposed to be there. Close but not all the way. 86-88. Best day 4. Maybe needs more time?

Pale straw, 30g RS Elevated intensity nose with slight reduction and clear floral terpenes. Some peach and some orange-oil terpenes. The intensity of the terpenes is moderately high. 15g RS, 13% alcohol, medium plus acid, medium phenolic bitterness. More terpenes on the palate.
This is a highly terpenic wine with RS and phenolic bitterness.
Laterals: - Alsace AOP Gewurz - would want more intense terpenes. - Alsace Muscat - wouldn't expect as much RS and wouldn't expect phenolic bitterness
Final call: This is an entry-level Alsace AOP Gewurz, maybe $18.
Given the higher-toned aromatics and the slightly elevated alcohol, I'd serve this around 45F. Pairing: It's a weaker structure for Gewurz. Milder sausage - maybe a german weissewurst, with pear compote.
2016 13.5% gewurz Weinbach cuvee theo.
Analysis: this was a tough wine. Should be more aromatic.
