  Pop and pour. Medium ruby. Nose is medium intensity of red and black fruits (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry), rose, violets, dried leaves. Maybe a bit reductive but will open up. Palette is pretty lush: medium bodied, bright acid, med (fine, slightly sweet) tannin; again, red fruits, plus some white pepper. M+ length and M+ alcohol is a bit notable as noted below.

  Can definitely tell this was a hotter year. Give it air. Really liked it after 3+ hours. Could probably keep improving with more but we drank it down. Rose petal, muted strawberry, balanced acidity, maybe a hint of spice, medium body, a touch hot.
