Looked back at my notes on this from a couple years ago. The berry notes are def still there. But it’s not tight at all. Definitely smoother now. Long finish and nice mouthfeel. Very interesting wine variety. We paired with elk steaks Sous vide and seared med rare to rare. We both thought the wine was a great match....slight sweetish nose went well with the elk
A big wine with plenty of black cherry and plum fruit and lots of tannins, but starting to balance out nicely. Best to decant for an hour or two. Was enjoyed by all. 89 + pts.

Extremely surprised with the overall quality. I was expecting a monolithic wine and on the contrary it was quite complex, with exotic wood, iodine, leather and blackberry aromas. It's a little off balance due to the alcohol content, but it's really not a big issue. Tannins are still very present and slightly rough on the edge. Excellent length. Could definitely spend more time in the cellar. Decant for 2-3 hours if you drink now or cellar until 2025.
Interesting wine. Paired with smoked pork chops. Lots of sweet blackberries blueberries on the nose. Very tannic. I’d suggest decanting for an hour and serve 60-65*. I’m sure this will be able to cellar for a number of years. Long finish. Lots of potential but feels a bit tight at this point.
