  Solidly made, nice mix of tart red fruit, plums and a little earth/stems. Pretty straight-forward but solid value Pinot.

  I think I read some good things about this wine and was expecting more. Not that there's anything wrong with this wine, especially at the price. There was a purple tinge to this wine, making it darker then a typical pinot. Other then that, though, this was a typical, well made pinot. Bright cherries, nice acidity, and light to medium bodied, with very little tannins. On the second day, this was actually a little better,as the fruit sweetened slightly, veering toward rasberries. It did have a very nice lingering finish, and while I'm not big on finishes, it was worth at least an extra point. So let's give it an 87, add a +, and call it a pretty good value.
