Bouquet starts with smoky, sweet flower and vegetable funk, tasting of dry (not dried) fruits. Strong but not easy. Takes 1+ hour for strong funk to dissipate. Day 2 more bitter, but otherwise the same. This is a substantial and worthwhile Grenache blend. Will be interested to see if more years improves remaining bottles.

This is excellent Grenache. It has a very similar note to Horsepower but not nearly as overwhelming and much more drinkable. The two most prominent notes I think are meat and roses.
Third Coast Soif (Chicago, IL): There's some nice black fruit character in this wine overall, but it's the nose that I just can't get past -- shows up pretty stinky with a little bit of a farty quality to it. Comes off a little natty as well.

So changed from 2022: remarkably bad. Wincingly bitter.

Crushed flowers, roses, smoke, earth, meat, blood sausage.
Very much enjoyed. A very elegant wine.
