This is no longer too young. It has developed almond flavors with age and still has some backbone. Drink soon. This bottle had a bizarre closure artificial cork (ardeaseal brand). I’ve maybe seen this once before but was ridiculously difficult to remove. I don’t think this closure was used on another bottle of this. Strange!

Great value. I think I paid about $42 for this. Excellent ripe fruit. Pears & apples & good mouth feel, relatively rich. A good intro for some much better Meursaults that followed....but those were also much more expensive. Solid wine.

Much better with some age. Oak has integrated. On the nose: lemon oil, sweet tarragon, oak, honey, soft almond. On the palate, lovely acidity, nuts, a touch of oaky bitterness, oil, slightly clipped finish.

Way too young. Nose shows some oak and citrus, and suggests Pernand character, but still seems fairly generic at this stage. Good acidity and fruit on palate, but we'll see tomorrow.
Day 2: the minty note I associate with Pernand comes out more today, and the oak seems much more in check. Loads of slate on the palate, and a suggestion of warmth on the finish.
