  • A little pinched and hollow to begin, but still good - very grenachey white pepper nose. Later some herbs. Palate very light and silky. No heaviness here at all. Got better with time to add just at smidgeon of sweetness and body. Perhaps faded after 3 hours to show a little of it's 14.5%abv alcohol and hint of portiness. Rather good, especially for a so-so vintage.

  • Nose of oatmeal, sour cherries and earth - interesting rather than nice. Earthy grenache flavours with a bit of kirsch but it is somewhat marred by a slightly bitter finish. Some of this might be the problem of the vintage rather than the wine.
