Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 91.6 points

  • Deep, opaque purple black. Full-bodied with layers of fresh and dried fruit and persistent pepper and black olive components. Brought to Syrah blind tasting. Score reflects a higher price relative to some BC Syrahs (Le Vieux Pin and Painted Rock) that knocked it out of the park at half the cost. Thanks RR for bringing it over!

  • This is a 100% Syrah, aged in new French barrels for 24 months. Deep in colour with notes of red and black fruit, dried figs, spicy chocolate rolls over the tongue. However the tannins are pretty high and this is also quite bitter as well. This is still very young and should probably not be touched for another 3-4 years. However I just have that feeling that this has been over oaked. 24 months in barrel is a long time, I just feel this needed maybe less new oak and for less time in barrel. This is good, but not amazing
