  Nose is an initial burst of classic aromas of fruitcake, sweet figs, burnt caramel and vanilla. However, the aromas quickly dissipate leaving just the smell of alcohol.
  
  Palate is quite short, a pleasantly sweet raisiny-carmelly thing, but is quite hot and short. Not sure if this is over the hill or just meh. Will chill for 15 mins next time and try again to see if there is any improvement.
