More or less a fruit bomb, esp on the nose. Some earthy notes on the finish on the palate. PnP the first day; big hit of red fruit on both nose and palate; OK with roast chicken but nothing to write home about. A bit more sophistication the second day but still one note.

Solid, full bodied CDR and an excellent value. Subtle nose with hints of both red and dark fruit and mushroom. Solid structure on the palate with good balance of fruit, tannin (underneath, not intrusive) and forest flavors.

WSET Level 2; 8/20/2019-10/15/2019 (Leoness Cellars, Temecula, CA): Pale, medium ruby color. Lovely savory earth nose of dried cherries, clove, anise, tobacco leaf and strawberries. Well balanced palate of cherries on the attack followed by a moderately intense herbal finish and some heat. Moderate tannins, so drink now or over next few years.

Very pleasant CDR; good value. Nice balance of flavors on the palate, some complexity on the nose.

An OK CDR but good value at this price point. Not a lot of character, more fruit than anything else. Decent with the right food.
