  • Cool climate Cinsault is a haven for savoury Pinot lovers w/limited budgets. Natte Valley understand this w/their SV series.

N: Wild raspberry, green leaves, green twigs snapped, fresh potpourri, almost sweet gummy sweet?

P: Med- body, pulsatingly lively, herbaceous tart wild red currants, dried orange peel, edging to natural territory. Bursting, refreshing high- acid. Dried meat and sage stuffing underbelly. So complex and drinkable. Has structure to age, but may lose its vivid primary fruit to funky green/woody herb characteristics.

F: Savoury dried currant skin, peeping oaky spice and vanilla.

  • Translucent ruby, collects the light and throws it all over the room. Lovely pinot like nose of warm asphalt and red fruit. Red and black fruit. Full and delicious. Long and mouth filling.

  • Not like Cinsault. Reminds most of my Hunter Shiraz - earth and juicy berries, some vegetation, touch scorched fruit. Light yet full of tannins in the mouth yet without being astringent. Interesting, but was hoping for more from a Cinsault. Speaks of natural winemaking
