This is the 15th tasting for us and by far the best one yet. After twelve months on her side she gave up black cherry and a touch of cedar on the nose. The front end, save for the nose is slightly void at this point, yielding to opulent mid palate of plum and pomegranate that quickly move to a finish of under-sweetened raspberry. For a Barbara, the finish is particularly long and drawn out with hints of tart plum and a mineral, yet not dry or chalky finish. The high acidity suggests she will continue to improve for the next couple of years and will drink well for at least another five or more. I love this wine and I will not drink another bottle till this time in 2008. Proof again that Cameron is no rookie and the patient shall be rewarded. If only I had been more patient and held more in reserve.

quality barbera and still drinking like a young wine. great fruit and juicy acidity with enough tannins to go a few more years. well done.

Excellent qpr. Not overly complex but a nice treat with spaghetti tonight. Plenty of acid and bursting with dark and some light berry flavors.

Good fruit flavors. Above-average acidity makes it pair well with food. The 14.5% alcohol (high by Euro standards) will make it a bit hot for some.
