Bought on the secondary market a few years ago. Worrisomely dark color -- almost tawny-like. Nose showed some tea-like delicate notes, while the palate brought stone fruit, plenty of botrytis, a substantial dose of sweetness, and a shot of acid. In a much better place than its color would suggest, but this bottle still felt quite evolved.

Though almost 25 years old, the color was darker, and the development of the wine more advanced than anticipated. Delicious, but clearly nearing the end of the period when it will give pleasure, the fruit fading, the spicy tang beginning to lean towards a certain bitterness. For sure, there is a marvelous melange of quince, bitter orange, grapefruit, honey, nutmeg and cinnamon and allspice; a somewhat surprising touch of earthiness seems to come from below.

Purchased on release. Dark in color. Lovely citrus and honey on the nose. Similar orange citrus and marmalade on the palate. There is bright acidity that plays well against the botrytis. This reserve wine is a major step up in richness and freshness compared to the regular moelleux bottling.

11th of 12, pnp, perfect cork and level, previously VGI or better, darkening, starting to lose fruit though v botrytized, slightly dusty, not up to Huet in this vintage and aging prematurely. VGI (17).

Seriously great wine. Took a few hours to open up, but man, when it did. Explosive.
