Dégustée à deux reprises chez Bovis, convient particulièrement à la viande de boeuf, très dense et fruité avec des tanins bien équilibrés et une finale forte mais ronde.

At just $20 (in Ontario), this is certainly fairly basic Priorat. But even basic Priorat, when done well, can be really good, as this certainly is. There isn't the depth, concentration, or intensity one finds in the better stuff, but it hits the right notes with fresh blackberry, stewed berries, dried fruit like raisin and fig, caramel, and mild brown spice, along with nice, regionally characteristic acidity and minerality cutting through those richer elements. There could be better integration, but the overall balance is nonetheless pretty impressive, if certainly expected from Priorat. I'd say this is a fine, accessible introduction to the glories of the region.

Blue and purple fruit, violets, some twizzlers forgotten in an old wallet.
Carries into the palate, but then some softer sour strawberry comes out, too.
It's a really enjoyable, easy drinking priorat.

Transparent color, a lot of tanins and acidity, similar brunello/barolo - is not what I expected from priorat.
