Tasty cote du Rhône. Bright red fruit flavors, a bit of citrus tang, as well as earthy nose and flavors. Good acidity. Lots going on. Very long finish.

The nose was intoxicating with it's display of dusty violet florals up front, which gave way to sweet autumnal spices, smoke, crushed blackberries, hints of tangerine, minerals and undergrowth. On the palate, silky textures were firmed up by a mixture of brisk acidity and minerals as zesty dark fruits cascaded across the senses, laced in crunchy tannin, with exotic spices saturating the senses as inner violet florals amassed. The finish was wonderfully long, tactile, yet fresh, as dark fruits slowly faded from the palate, leaving sweet spices, violet pastille, minerals, and hints of fine tannin.
Really nice cotes du rhone, quite fruit forward, lots of raspberry, meaty notes and some earth. Long finish, well resolved tannins and open for business. Great QPR!

2015 Rhone Tasting (Spectrum Wine - Tustin CA): Tasting, brief note. Rich black fruit but very rugged and backward. Needs time, no fun for a few years.
