Eight decades of Château-Chalon (back to 1934) with Jean-Francois Bourdy: Called a "good to very good" vintage by J-F. Aromas are rich a d piney, soft and smooth. It's on the lighter side, but a little more elegant than the younger wines. Rich acid on the palate, with chunky texture. Puckering, but not much in the way of other flavors; it's all texture. Rich and smooth finish with balanced acid. It's tart and rich, puckering. This was a 90 point wine on day one but 91 on day two.

Nutty oxidadive notes, Curry. Persistent and long, good acidity. Will hold.
