Quite silky and elegant, this village level Vosne-Romanee shows a good balance with mixed berries, forest floor, and dried herbs. It's really light, almost refreshing like a bottled spring water. I enjoyed this, but it doesn't have enough aromatics to reach 90 point given that I paid $45.

The nose is big with cherry, meat, and moss. The taste is sweet with more cherries, a little bit of truffle oil, and some cocoa. The finish is ultra-smooth with totally refined tannins that are almost non-detectable. Some chocolate also peeks through late on the finish. Nice.

less elegant and ethereal than the vosne but just as satisfying....elsewhere. This is just pure vosne. In your face spice. Where the chambolle delecately glances across the palate, this sits in your mouth, plum, earth, fruit, present from attack to finish without a gap. Just like the Chambolle, there is nothing here that blows you away, but it just simply makes you lean back in your chair and smile.

Lee and Lisa over on a Friday night - Scallops in saffron sauce - choriso/olives/cheese nosh before. Cheescake dessert. Lots to drink. This wine drunk at cellar temp and consequently not showing well. A bit disappointing.

Wonderful berry nose. Smooth slightly sourish body with good length. Very tasty.
