The 2009, 2010 and 2011 were all relyably good and always a safe quality play in the 10 EUR red wine universe.
This one, after pop&pour offers some nice bouquet for sure, but the taste is a bit shallow and acidity is overpronounced - unusual for a Spanish red. So far this is merely OK and clearly trailing earlier vintages.
--- Update after 4 hours: this got even weaker. Notwithstanding the fairly pleasant oak, this is thin and sour and simple. Drinks like 4-5 EUR wine. Not sure we will drink it up.
Surprising and disappointing, didn't expect this from Anares.
