Gold in the glass, aromas of apples, pineapple upside down cake, and lemon preserves. In the mouth, the wine is taut- loads of acidity, med-full body. Nice acid attack up-front with a glycol-rich mid, and a clean tart finish. In the mouth, loads of pineapple. Weird, not off-putting- just weird and interesting. I think this still has some gas left in the tank, but I am not sure where this wine is going to go.

A few bottles of this were set aside for my wife and “a few friends” who came by in the early afternoon to celebrate one of the group’s birthday before a planned visit to a local winery while I was in another location. Instead the group decided to stay as it grew in size and promptly finished these bottles with no decipherable comment before raiding the wine cellar through the early morning when everyone went to bed...

Almost over the top new world/Cali Chard. Lots of butterscotch on the nose and the finish along with a very toasty and buttery profile. Fruit is more stone fruit rather than citrus. Dense texture and rich flavor profile. Bought more of this than I should have without tasting it a few years back. Not really my style.

In a great place right now. Roasted pineapple, fresh cream and a bit of nuttiness on the nose. Palate is similar and acid is excellent, adds a lime zest note. Could last a few years longer but no need to wait.

Pineapple, creme brûlée, mineral depth, acid balance, full rich texture. Long burnt sugar finish. Delicious.
