Rockss and Fruit

(Reichsgraf Von Kesselstat Scharzhofberger Spatlese) It was too young as this vineyard needs twenty years to start showing well. Combine that with the somewhat not-to-easy-to-drink-on-the-young-side style of these wines this was bound to show youthful and it did. Classic chalky/sweet tarty aromas along with some tangy stone fruits. Palate was steely and skeletal with just a smidgeon of flesh on the bones. It filled in as it breatedh and became somewhat tropical as it warmed up but ultimately was inward. Needs time but still had wonderful balance and vasty improved after three or four hours open.
